About City Paradip, known as Paradeep, is a major seaport town and a designated notified area in Jagatsinghpur district of the state. The place is wide-reaching famous for being one of the twelve major seaports of India. . Paradeep is 125 km by road from Bhubaneswar Airport; 94 km by road from Cuttack Railway Station.. It is well-known for its charming tourism places like Paradip Port, Baladeva Temple, Jhankad Temple and Bhitarkanika National Park etc. which attract visitors from all over the world Paradip is connected by rail but most people prefer to travel via Bhubaneswar or Cuttack. Rented cars or taxis are easily available at both the places. Paradeep beach in Odisha is also one of the most important commercial sea port of the country. Paradip is emerging as a major industrial hub with several upcoming steel plants including a US$12 billion plant being developed by POSCO of South Korea.
