Kakara Pitha ( କାକରା ପିଠା )

Speacility : Every occassion ( ସମସ୍ତ ପର୍ବରେ )
Ingredients : Ingridients : ( ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ )
Ata (Wheat Flour) ( ଅଟା ) or Suji (ସୁଜି )– 300 gm
Sugar ( ଚିନି ) -250 g
Coconut (ନଡିଆ ) – ½ a Coconut (grated)
Cardamom (ଗୁଜୁରାତି) – 4 pcs
Chhena ( ଛେନା ) -100 g
Edible camphor-a pinch
Black pepper- little and crushed
Salt (ଲୁଣ ) – As per taste ( ଲୁଣ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅନୁସାରେ )
vegetable oil or ghee (ରିଫାଇନ୍ ତେଲ କିମ୍ବା ଘିଅ )- for deep frying
HowToMake: How to Prepare ( ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ ) :
Combine the grated coconut and sugar in a heavy bottomed pan. Allow the sugar to melt and cook on a medium flame. Take same amount of water as the wheat flour or suji in a deep pan. Add 175 gm of sugar and salt to it. Boil it. Add ½ cup of water to ½ cup of wheat flour or suji and make a fine paste. Add the paste to the pan when the sugar solution is saturated. Stir well, so that no lump should be formed. Reduce the flame to low and let it cook for couple of minutes or until the mixture thickens. Let it cool for some time and knead it well. The Atta or Suji dough should be soft. Grease your hands and divide the dough into equal portions. Flatten the dough each dough ball using your palms and place the coconut stuffing in the middle. Cover it from all sides. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Deep fry the stuffed ball in hot oil until golden brown. Remove from the oil and serve warm.
