Chakuli Pitha ( ଚକୁଳି ପିଠା ) ( ସରୁ ଚକୁଳି )

Ingredients : Ingridients : ( ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ )

1 cup urad dal (Biri) white or black ( ବିରି ) ( ଚୋପା ଛଡା କିମ୍ବା ଚୋପା ଥିବା )
3 cups rice ( ଅରୁଆ କିମ୍ବା ଉଷୁନା ଚାଉଳ ) your choice
Salt (ଲୁଣ ) – As per taste ( ଲୁଣ ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅନୁସାରେ )
Water as needed ( ପାଣି ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଅନୁସାରେ )
refined oil for greasing ( ତେଲ କିମ୍ବା ଘିଅ )
HowToMake: How to Prepare (ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ) :
Soak rice and urad dal in separate bowls for at least 4 to 5 hours. wash soaked item separetaly.These will be later ground together to make a batter which ferments for 6 hours or more. Grind the soaked items separately. Now mix the grinded rice and daal together into a batter . Combine the urad dal paste and rice paste together in a bowl and cover and keep aside to ferment overnight. Once the batter is fermented add salt to the batter and mix well. Heat a non-stick tava and grease lightly with ghee or oil. Grease all the corners and then cook it on the other side also. Serve hot with hot sambhar and chutney.
