History : Jagannath Temple at Nayagarh is an ancient reminiscence of Hindu deities. Jagannath temple at Nayagarh, was erected by Vinayak Singh Mandhata in between 1788 and 1808 AD.He passed away and then the remaining work was done by his son the king Brajbandhu. He spent lot of time to establish this divine and holy shrine of Lord Jagannath. The temple is in pancharatha Rekha Deula style, while the Jaga mohan and Natamandapa are in Pidha Deula style. The idol of Jagannath called DadhiVanana in this temple. The Jagannath Temple of Nayagarh celebrates the small and the big festivals such as Rath Yatra and Snana Yatra.
